National Supercomputing Center in Shenzhen (Shenzhen Cloud Computing Center), arranged by the nation, is a major scientific and technological infrastructure project in Shenzhen with largest single investment since the establishment of the city. It belongs to the National 863 Program, and is also an important project both in Guangdong Province and Shenzhen. Meanwhile, to accomplish such a project is also a concrete action to implement the Outline of the Reform and Development of the Pearl River Delta (2008-2020) and Overall Program of Shenzhen’s Comprehensive Reform, which is of great significance to promote the development of national high-performance computation and enhance China's comprehensive national strength and international competitiveness.
National Supercomputing Center in Shenzhen (Shenzhen Cloud Computing Center), with the total investment of 1.23 billion yuan, covers a construction area of 12,000 square meters at the first stage. The total construction area of it is 43,000 square meters, among which the research building covers 31,000 square meters with 16 floors above ground and 2 underground floors, and the machinery building covers 12,000 square meters with 4 floors on the ground and 1 basement.
